Phil Keaggy - What A Day

Philip Tyler Keaggy is an amazing guitarist and vocalist and yes he sings about Jesus but he's probably one of the worlds best guitarists and Phill is missing half of his middle finger on his right hand. I personally don't believe in god, all tho i grew up in a christian home my parents listened to good music all the time and this is one of those albums i lisstend to allot and where most of my musical sense comes from.

This is Phil Keaggy's first solo album realeased on 1973. Prior to recording this album on Valentines Day 1970 his mother dies on a car accident, that same day Phil was on an heavy LSD trip gone wrong. In all this tragedy he's sister told him about Jesus, and he became a christian.

Sparklehorse - It's a Wonderful Life

2001 release from the Virginian multi-instrumentalist Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse). Also in this album Tom Waits, PJ Harvey, John Parish, Nina Perrson, Dave Fridmann and others. Mark Linkous usually records in a small room on his virginia farm but for this album he made an exeption and worked with other musicians, “I didn't want to play every instrument on every song,” “I didn't want to be behind the control console the whole time. I wanted to have other people's brains and input involved.” sayd Linkous, in an interview with Free Williamsburg Online Magazine. I've heard this a bunch of times, it never gets old.

Niño Rojo

Niño Rojo is Devendra Banhart's late 2004 release after the Rejoicing in the Hands album witch most people think is his best work. both albums were recorded on the same recording sessions so songs were devided to make two difrent albums, while Rejoicing in the Hands shows a more mature side Niño Rojo gets all the "fun songs".

And hey there, little albatross, swimming in the air
Ah c'mon, you know I can't fly
And I, I think we really oughta play fair

From Here We Go Sublime

From here we go sublime is the debut album from Axel Willner aka The Field. This kind of music has been described as minimal techno, i used to throw some great party's with just a strobe light and this album all the way, it's true i almost got thrown out of my apartment for doing so but i think you should also try to get some noise complaints by listening to this.

make your neighbor go nuts

Peace! Songs For Christmas, Vol. V

For the past few years, as a holiday tradition, Sufjan has embarked on an extraordinary experiment to record an annual Christmas EP. He indulged in the project initially as an exercise to make himself “appreciate” Christmas more. It started in 2001, the year of Epiphanies, and continued onward (skipping only 2004), culminating into an odd and idiosyncratic catalog of music that has only existed in the Asthmatic Kitty archives (and on a number of file sharing sites). The recording process took place every December, for one week, usually at home, provoking collaborations with friends, roommates, and musical peers. Armed with a Reader’s Digest Christmas Songbook (and a mug of hot cider) Sufjan & friends concocted a musical fruit cake year after year, implementing every musical instrument they could find lying around the house: banjo, oboe, Casiotone, wood flute, a buzzy guitar, hand claps, sleigh bells, Hammond organ, and some tree tinsel. Did we mention sleigh bells?
